If you are on twitter and have an interest in climate change, The Guardian UK just put out its top 50 twitter accounts around climate.

Also, if you think the oil spill is big, try spilling it on your home town/city/state. This utility overlays a scaled representation of the Deepwater Horizon spill onto a Google Earth view of any city you choose. (Thanks, Atlantic Monthly).

    I just learned from following the Global Action Plan tweets that an average person throws away about 4lbs of rubbish EVERY DAY. Following these sites will definitely increase the level of awareness and participation of responsibility to ourselves/ each other and our surroundings.

    It has already insisted in me a change of habit and if every one of their, say 600 +, followers ( and this list of 50 top climate change twitter accounts and their followers respectively) modify their lifestyles accordingly, just imagine…
